Project Details

“The traditional art of pottery among the Nagas is confined to a few villages notably Viswema and Khuzama of Angami tribe; Thenyezuma, Rungguzuma and Kholazumi of Chakesang tribe; Tseminyu village of Rengma tribe; Peren and Puilua of Zeliang tribe; Changki, Japu and Longsemdang of Ao tribe; Tokikehimi and some other villages of Sema tribe; upper range of the Lotha area; Kongsang, Yali and Nakshao village of Chang tribe; wakching, Shiyong , Leangha, Chui, Choshachingyu, Longkai, Sheanga and Tangjen of Konyak tribe; Nguru and Lungmutra of Sangtam tribe; Noklu and Sao of Khiamniungan tribe and a few Villages in Phom area”.

Proposed Activities

Encourage entrepreneurship and livelihood opportunities skill building, Employment generation ,Construction of Art & Craft village huts,Food court,Amphitheater,Retail area,Parking and toilet area, Tourist accomodation. This project will promote functional units in the village, capacity building among the community through SHGs, sustainable income and work,Improved income of the artisans and reduce vulnerabilities, hospitality training,skill training and marketing linkage.
