Project Details
Mini Fruit & Vegetable Processing Unit at Meriema (Kohima)and Turmeric processing unit at Jalukie (Peren) has been set up by the Department. However, due to paucity of fund, the Department was able to install only limited machineries and equipment’s as such the expected result of the intended project is being limited. Under Mini Fruit & Vegetable Processing Unit at Meriema, machineries which are being used/ utilized include, Generator, Mini Spice Grinder, Continues sealer, Induction sealer, osmodyhydrator driers (10 years old), nitrogen flush etc. Under Turmeric Processing Plant, Jalukie, machineries include Boilers, driers, turmeric slicers and washers, generator etc. Supplementing machineries at the existing units are genuinely required for enhancing the production capacity as also to convert the unit into training centres for women
