The Public Health Engineering Department is the nodal department for implementation of drinking water supply schemes for both rural and urban sectors. Out of 1499 rural villages and habitations, 1414 have been provided with pipe water supply which are being augmented to provided 55 lpcd and Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTC) under Jal Jeevan Mission. There is a balance of 2.20 lakh rural households which will be provided with FHTC as per saturation plan during FY 2022-23.
