Project Details
The State Mission has thus far developed 11 resource blocks where visible models of sustainable community institutions, livelihoods interventions, alternative financial inclusion, community based recovery mechanisms, access to entitlements, inclusion of vulnerable, group/household enterprise, rural transportation, community managed custom hiring centres, low cost roof-top rain water harvesting, agri ecological practices, micro pig breeding units, creating micro-climate in rural habitations, and commercial production of shitake and oyster mushroom, have been successfully achieved. Nagaland being a resource poor state, it is lagging of adequate infrastructure to facilitate organic scale-up. Therefore, in order to replicate successful models in the remaining intensive blocks, the 11 resource blocks will be requiring a Community Managed Immersion and Training Centre (CMITC), Land and Building, where residential immersion and training can be conducted effectively.
