Project Details
In the absence of proper sanitation system and Sewage Treatment Plant, black water from septic tanks are released into nearby drains and nullahs or discharged directly into the drains. Irregular and delayed dislodging can result in increased chances of faucal matters from the septic tank to open drains. The faucal sludge from the septic tanks need to be safely emptied and transported to the disposal site. Moreover, "Prohibition of Employment as Manual Scavengers and their Rehabilitation Rules, 2013" prohibit hazardous cleaning of septic tanks and sewer lines.
