Department

Project Details
There are a total of 3980 Anganwadi Centers in Nagaland, catering child welfare services to 375000 children registered in the Anganwadi Centers across the state. Like any other schemes in India, ICDS scheme also has its limitations in funding as well as implementation. Paucity of regular and fulfilling required supply of pre-school learning kits, Anganwadi Centre upgradation-carpeting and child friendly rooms, pre-school children bag and furnitures. These facilities are provided only once in five years by ministry funding but it does not fully satisfy the requirement to enable children to have full access to the facilities mentioned above in all the Anganwadi centres. Besides these facilities, LCD TV in each Anganwadi Centre will help elevate children access to digital visual learning.
