Project Details
Eri culture is commonly practiced by large section of rural society producing large quantity of cocoon/yarn. However, conversion of silk yarn into silk fabrics is low due to low adoption of traditional loin loom. Development of Spinning and weaving infrastructure and provide technical inputs will propagate value addition. Improvement in Eri spinning through introduction of improved spinning device and qualitative and quantitative improvement in Eri silk weaving activities through introduction of improved loom and encouraging local loin loom weaver will empower the people through employment generating economics activities.
