At present the department has been able to construct Astro turf in some District Headquarters namely Kohima, Jalukie, Chumoukedima, Mokokchung, Mon and Tuensang. The climate in Nagaland has more of Monsoon and the rain which effects the play field and hence training session are mostly disrupted hence it is recommended for Astro turf in the District Headquarters.
