Project Details
The Ao Nagas originally hail from Mokokchung District in the State of Nagaland. With the passage of time, they have spread to various parts of the State and the Country and one of the significant development was the establishment of Aoyimti village under Dimapur District in Nagaland in 1947. Over the years, the village has grown into 700 households with a population of around 3S00. The present Panchayat Hall can barely seat 200 people and is also in a dilapidated condition. There is an urgent requirement for a bigger hall with a seating capacity of at least 500 people for conducting meetings, cultural and traditional functions. Seminars, youth meets etc. A museum attached to the panchayat hall will help to shoecase the ancient artifacts as well as the rich culture and traditions of the Ao Nagas hailing from the 6 Ranges of Mokokchung District.
