At present most of the Government Colleges are depending on the conventional system of electricity which are not reliable. The Colleges need uninterrupted power supply for conduct of academic activities, research activities, Science Laboratories, Libraries, hostellers and other developmental works. Taking into consideration the advantages of Solar Energy particularly in a state like Nagaland where conventional system of electricity is not dependable, the Department propose for Solar Electrification of 14 Government Colleges and its campuses. Installation with connectivity in the College Building/Hostels and campuses .14 Goverment colleges.
