The existing nursing institutes in the state cannot meet the requirement of qualified nursing personnel in the health sector, and the outbreak ofthe COVID-19 Pandemic has made evident the acute shortage of nurses in the state. Therefore, Mountain View Christian College Educational Society proposes the establishment of a School of Nursing at Pheza Nerhe of Kohima District, Nagaland to impart quality Nursing Education to aspiring candidates, and meet the shortage of qualified and efficient nursing personnel particularly in Nagaland, and the country in general. The establishment of this Nursing School will also generate employment in the form of recruitment of technical faculty members and non-technical staff too.
