Aghunaqa lies within the DAB and borders Assam where the primary source of income is agriculture. The farmers have to traverse a long way in order to sell their agricultural outputs consisting of mainly perishable goods like vegetables and live stocks. Moreover, the transportation cost of engaging in business at the nearest town i.e. Niuland town weighs heavy on their primary income.The marketing shed at Aghunaqa will boost the income of the farmers where 90% of the population are rural farmers and rely on day to day sale of their agricultural produce. It will also enhance their income by way of reduction in transportation costs and other unforeseen loses caused by weather, bad road connectivity, delay in transportation , etc. This project will also help the farmers dispose off their agricultural produce and enhance the rural economy
