The Niuland CHC is the only medical facility in the Town and there are no private hospitals at Niuland with the nearest Private hospital at Dimapur which is approximately 23 Kms. The CHC lacks modern equipment to treat major sickness thus compelling the people to seek private hospitals in Dimapur. This not only causes financial strain to the economically weaker sections but it is also an ordeal for sick patients to travel due to the bad road condition between Niuland and Dimapur District. Given the circumstances, provision of essential medical equipments is the basic need of the CHC, Niuland which will benefit the masses.
