Project Details
Niuland district faces frequent power cuts and disruption which may range from a few hours to even a few days to weeks. Owning to the thick foliage that the district has, usually the power cuts are a result of falling trees and/or branches during storms. The frequent disruption to power supplies therefore leaves government offices and schools to the vagaries of nature and causes not only inconveniences but also delays in official works. It also greatly affects the student community especially during examinations who cannot afford modern power back ups and have to entirely rely on power supplied by the department. Installation of Solar at Government offices and Buildings, Schools and public utility centers will ease the functioning of office works and also ease the burden of electricity bills on the exchequer..
