Project Details
Tsogin Range (There are 7 Ranges in Tseminyu district based on cluster location of villages) consists of 9 villages along with Tsogin administrative HQ. The villages are geographically scattered and distantly and remotely located away from the district headquarter and also from other major urban areas of adjoining districts. It is also amongst the most economically backward rural areas of the district. The villagers from the range do not have any common and affordable means of public transport to commute or travel from their village area for various purposes. This creates a physical disconnect and effectively limits the transportation needs of the range people and, by extension, their economic, educational, socio-cultural and aspirational imperatives.It is against this background why the need to have a community bus service for the rural range people has assumed utmost importance. Currently, no fund is available from any other sources. Hence, the need of the project through CSR intervention

Proposed Activities
• To procure a 32-seater passenger Bus from the CSR funding for the purpose of community bus service of Tsogin range people or, if directly made available through CSR funding, operationalize the bus service for meeting the transportation needs of the Tsogin range people.
• The community bus to be jointly managed and run by the different range villages with the incremental objective of making the running of the bus sustainable and productive through a coordinated modality to be worked out under the overall oversight of the District Administration, Tseminyu.
