Ensuring drinking water security through select borewells
Department
District Administration
Project Details
A large section of rural and urban population under Tseminyu district do not have piped water connection or convenient access to clean potable water. Available water from small streams is usually limited and seasonal. Water being a basic need, ensuring its availability is key to water security. Tapping water from the ground through borewells in select places where other sources of water is not available will ensure security of safe drinking water to those targeted community members. At present, there is no fund available from any other source for such project. Which is why the realisation of the project through CSR funded initiative becomes crucial to addressing the issue of drinking water security.
