Project Details
• High prevalence of cancer in the district and lack of awareness leading to late detection of such cases is proving detrimental in the health of the common people especially in rural areas.
• A few cases of suspected cervical cancer came up during the past few years and have been referred to higher centre where some cases have been diagnosed with cervical cancer at late stages and where treatment has been hampered/ delayed because of late diagnosis.
• Awareness about the condition and prompt diagnosis and treatment of the condition will avoid complications of late stages. Health care facilities have to be equipped and trained for spreading awareness regarding the condition
