Kiphire receives a high number of visitors both from the government and private sector owing to its status as an aspirational district. In the district Hq, there are only a few government guest houses and one private guest house.The GA guest house is one of the few guest houses in the HQ and accommodates all the VIP guests from the state and central government, besides other guests. However, the guest house is in need of major repair and renovation. It has 1 VIP room with attached bathroom and common room and 6 two-bedded bedrooms with attached bathrooms, 1 kitchen with dining room, reception room and a store room. The guest house requires major repairs of all the toilets and renovation of all the rooms. At present, due to the poor condition of the guest house, the administration is forced to accommodate many of the VIPs are in other guest houses and even while accommodating official guests, there is inconvenience due to lack of proper amenities in the guest house. Therefore, it is proposed to undertake major repair and renovation of the guest house so as to provide proper accommodation and comfortable stay to all the visitors to the district and increase government revenue.
