The farmers in Kiphire district face enormous challenges when it comes to transporting and selling their goods because of the high prices of goods trucks/vehicles. Thus, there is a high percentage of wastage and loss of agricultural produce. Although there is high demand and good prices for Kiphire's agri-produce in markets such as Kohima and Dimapur, farmers are not able to capitalize due to the logistical challenges. Thus, having trucks specifically for transporting agri-produce to high-demand markets during the peak seasons will be highly beneficial for the farmers of the areas. It will not only reduce wastage and augment their income but also boost the economy of the district.
