Project Details
Chumoukedima is a fast growing urban area due to the newly constructed National Highway NH29. The same has been acting as a conduit of the development and is connecting tw large urban areas of Dimapur and Kohima. However, with this boon the danger of road accidents cannot be denied. With the traffic getting dense and speed of commutation getting faster. 7th mile is an important junction with markets and residential areas on the either side of the highway. The volume of crossing the same is high and therefore the need of the foot over bridge. Further with the proximity of airport often the traffic speed is at a rush. Foot over bridges are the essential component of all the urban areas on the world the need of it cannot be underscored. The statistics of road accident is attached in the implementation of the project will greatly benefit the people of Chumoukedima and the commuters of the highway.
