The nature of CHILDLINE service/s is such that the team has to go into quick rescue operation any and all time even in odd hours to ensure timely service. Therefore, the need to be equipped with vehicle for mobility for effective service delivery.Since initiation of CHILDLINE in Kohima district by the organization, the teams make use of office vehicle or private taxis for emergency interventions which many times causes unwanted delays and hinder quick action. Despite the challenge faced because of immobility, CHILDLINE team is working with total commitment to reach out to each and every distress calls to extend help, support and service according to the need of the child. However, there are many instances where the teams have to rush to distant and difficult terrain at odd hours for rescue operations which involve risk even to the team involved. Therefore, the pressing need for a child friendly vehicle readily available to CHILDLINE and equipped with emergency supplies – medical, nutrition, clothing etc. to extend the needed support at the right time and to guarantee that no child in distress is left alone and unattended. With the aforesaid backdrop, CHILDLINE Kohima seek support from relevant government agencies, financial agencies, individual donors to support CHILDLINE by sponsoring a vehicle which will be utilized as a rescue car for any and every child in distress and in need of care and protection.
