If supported by CSR Company at least for three years there will be revolution in this target area,
we would like to start this programme in Kiphire District of Nagaland.
What is the issue, problem or challenge?
In this small town we have seen many schools lack facilities, some school are constructed by
bamboo twigs and some school need repairing. During rainy season the water drop in and have
no fans to meet the heat of summer and many other infrastructural facilities.
They do not have schools in many villages. The schools which are there do not have even basic
infrastructure like benches, electricity. There less teacher in some schools. In some villages there
are only till Class V and in some villages they have Middle School till Class VIII.
The learning level of the children is very slow. There are indeed some gaps in teaching -
learning processes. In most of the schools, students and teachers ratio is not proportionate. There
rampant school drop outs.
Problem in education we want to work on:
1. To improve the quality of teaching learning and assessments.
2. To improve the personal development and behavior of teachers and students.
3. To minimize if not eradicate incidents of pupil drop-outs.
4. Create an interesting school environment while interrogating the suitability the school
curriculum and make appropriate recommendations and lobby for the same.
5. Involve community participation in the efficient implementation for educational plans
and processes at village and panchayat level for the development of education sector.
6. Encourage the culture of home reading through various motivational strategies.
7. Work with the communities to sensitize them on helping their children in their education
