Handicraft production is a major form of employment in many countries and often a significant part of the export economy. The people of the Noklak district have long perfected the art of creating magnificent items with the resources found in their district. Art and Handicraft are intricately woven into their culture, which speaks volumes about the craftsmanship of the people of the Noklak district. Their handicrafts and other artisan products are designed in beautiful patterns and are in great demand everywhere in the state and even abroad. Unfortunately, many of the artisans in the district today face a struggle for survival due to lack of market linkages and limited exposure to compete with increased competition and rapidly produced products of the modern age.
