The District has only one Government Higher Secondary School situated at Noklak town. Hence, students from the villages who wish to pursue secondary studies have to travel to the headquarter. It is here that the problem of housing these students arises. Most of them opt for rental houses which only add to the financial burdens of their parents. Most of the students come from low economic backgrounds. As such, it is extremely difficult for parents to support their education. This often results in a scenario where there is a huge number of dropouts at the high school and secondary levels.
