Accommodation remains a huge problem in the District. At present, Noklak Hq has just one Government-run Guest House with two rooms that can accommodate not more than four persons at a time. The situation in the sub divisions/bloacks is worse with little to absolutely no accommodation facilities available.In recent times, the concept of homestays is being discussed with the local populace. However, implementation of such practice will take time and consistent effort. Also, there is a level of hesitancy among the locals on running such accommodation facilities due to lack of expertise and knowledge in the hospitality business.Being a fairly new district, there has been a gradual influx of visitors and tourists who come to Noklak for a variety of purposes. At the same time, the District’s tourism potential is not being fully realized due to the lack of decent accommodation.
