Project Details
Kuda Village which is located in Dimapur is one of the most neglected and backward area in the District which is still struggling from availability of basic amenities like uninterrupted power supply, safe drinking water, etc. Although the district is one of the most developed District in the State, Kuda Village is still reeling from access to basic amenities which is affecting in the overall socio-economic development of the Villagers. The project is for installation of solar street lights on the unelectrified roads at Kuda Village. The lack of electrified road is an impediment for the development of the village, creation of local livelihoods and safety of the population. The lack of proper road lighting within the village is causing challenges to the community especially during night time leading to many cases of road accidents in recent times. Solar street lights are independent of the utility grid resulting in lessened operation costs and also enhanced safety for villagers during late evenings and night, extending business hours which will lead to socio-economic development of the area. It will also improve and provide safe access to the healthcare centres, schools and reduce the load on the conventional power systems and lead to saving of precious fossil fuels, ensuring better illumination in the village streets.
