Project Details
The proposed project is faceted in Nagaland, one of the worst performing states on
all SDG indicators, Wokha district is among the remotest and most backward districts
in Nagaland. According to NITI Aayog, close to 15% of the population in the district is
multidimensional poor'.Wokha is predominantly tribal, and the economy is
predominantly farm-based with the majority of the population dependent on it.
Agriculture, minor forest produce, cottage industry, and tourism are important parts
of Wokha's economy.Wokha is the traditional home of the Lotha tribe.
onThe project on setting up solar street lightsin one of the prominent roads of Wokha
district of Nagalandwill help toenhancesafety, improved economic activities and
support tourism.
