In-line with NEP2020 and SDG4 vision 2030, No Industry-linkage with Polytechnics has become a huge gap for implementation and for quality technical education. No large or small scale Industry, where AICTE norms makes Polytechnics to have MOUs with Industry for skill Development of the course offered. Having greater industry-academic linkages, experts from the field of research and resources in engineering and technical sectors will be the key area where innovation and new ideas from the students’ community as well as teachers will do research, there will be more of industry-Institute interaction, the Polytechnics also aims to provide students with courses to pursue self-employment and also with inviting successful entrepreneurs to provide exposure to the students. R&D and Incubation centre has to be Institute-wise as the area of expertise and needs differ. The Industry would be invited to setup its lab/workshop in the existing Polytechnic and their experts to train the students on specific area of expertise, which would provide job oriented certification.

The advancement of Technology Cannot be fully skilled among the younger generation in the state of Nagaland as there are many deficiences in the existing Polytechnics, for which these gaps has to be bridged with financial assistance from the government of India/any funding agencies under CSR.As per the NEP2020,to focus on research and innovation by setting up start-up incubation centre.Also, in-line with SDG4,under strengthening of Technical Institutions, there will be more of Industry-institute interaction. 1. Identify labs with engineering/technical specific research equipments, technology experts and established linked with traders/business/industry. 2. Incubation centre will be the centre of excellence where,students and faculty will get the opportunity of bringing out new ideas.
