With no State Government Engineering college in the State, the students wanting to go for higher studies, due to financial constraints are unable to proceed further after Diploma and other elementary studies. With this huge deficit of State own engineering degree, there is a huge gap of technical professional in the State.In-line with SDG4 vision2030, the Department medium and long term goal is to upgrade few eligible polytechnics to degree course.With AICTE norms and guidelines, the Polytechnics accredited with National Board of Accreditation (NBA) can expand and upgrade the courses, for which the Department has initiated few Polytechnic for the process.With the introduction of Degree engineering college, there will be human development economic growth in the State.
