To support parents and students and to enable candidates to empower themselves in education, the Education and Skilling Loan Facilitation Centre at IDAN office, Capital Convention Centre, Kohima, Nagaland will be facilitating Education loan for students in Nagaland for approved courses leading to Graduate/Post Graduate Degree and P.G Diploma conducted by Colleges/Universities recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the Indian Council for Medical Research(ICMR).
The Centre shall offer assistance on:
- Availing loan for study in India and abroad through Educational Loan Schemes of Indian Bank Association.
- All services/assistance offered by IDAN will be free of cost.
- No collateral for loan up to 7.5 Lakhs against admission letter issued by approved institutions under UGC/AICTE/AIMA etc.
- Separate process for loans above 7.5 Lakhs based on the institution & country where admission is secured.
- One year moratorium for repayment after completion of studies in all courses.
- End to end handholding for loans under the scheme.
Indicative list of courses for education loan:
- Professional courses: Engineering, Medical, Agriculture, Veterinary, Law, Dental, Management, Computer, Paramedical, Nursing etc.
- Computer certificate courses of reputed institutes accredited to Dept. of electronics or institutes affiliated to university.
- Courses conducted by IIM, IIT, IISc, XLRI, NIFT etc.
- Courses like ICWA, CA, CFA ETC.
- REGULAR Degree/Diploma courses like Aeronautical, pilot training, shipping etc., approved by Director General of Civil Aviation/Shipping, if the course is pursued in India. In case the course is pursued abroad, the Institute should be recognized by the competent local aviation/shipping authority.
- Courses offered in India by reputed foreign universities.
N.B. Loans are at the sole discretion of Banks. Admission letter is the only collateral needed for the loans up to 7.5 lakhs. Loan will be released to the concerned educational institutions.
